THE NEW HALFPRICE HOSTING
Are you a current Halfprice Hosting customer interested in switching to our new QuickServe plan? There are a couple of important differences from the plans previously provided by Halfprice Hosting to the new QuickServe platform to take note of before making the switch.
The New plan is Linux, not Windows
The new QuickServe plan is on the Linux platform, not Windows so you may need to make code changes to your entire website. Some features of your current website might need to be changed or updated to reflect the new operating system.Email Only Support
The new QuickServe plan does not include phone support however; we do offer 24x7 email support. Our current customers who switch plans will not be able to contact us via an 800 number. You must use email to contact technical support.Current Customer Must Migrate their Website and Email
Current Halfprice Hosting customer must migrate their own files and recreate all their email accounts on the new server. You will have 10 days to set up your new website on the new platform. After 10 days, our system will automatically remove your old content from the old web and email servers.New Control Panel
Switching to the new plan means you get a new control panel with some new features. You will no longer be able to access your old control panel as it is run on a different platform.New Email Platform
The new QuickServe hosting plan comes with new email. You will need to setup all your email accounts again on the new platform along with any forwarding and special settings.New Statistics Program
The new QuickServe plan comes with a new statistics program, AWStats. Live Stats and Urchin stats will not be available and your old stats data cannot be migrated to the new statistics platform.
